S. Korean: Release of Prisoners of Conscience Demanded

Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) — The Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society in south Korea reportedly issued a statement on Dec. 6 urging the regime to release the prisoners of conscience.

Recalling that the freedom of assembly and demonstration, ideology and conscience, and the vital rights of the workers were mercilessly violated under the rule of the former Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye regimes, the statement urged the present regime to release the prisoners of conscience, as desired by the people calling for democracy and respect for human rights.
