U.S. Hostile Policy towards DPRK Denounced by Regional Body

Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) — The Latin American and Caribbean Regional Committee to Support the Reunification of Korea issued a statement on Nov. 30 in denunciation of the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK.

Noting that the DPRK has been exposed to consistent threat of aggression from the U.S. since its foundation, the statement said:
The U.S. is talking about the “issue of human rights” in the DPRK.
It re-listed socialist Korea as a “state sponsor of terrorism” with a sinister aim to completely destroy it.
It is daily escalating tensions on the Korean peninsula with its anti-DPRK war drills while keeping its forces of aggression in south Korea on a permanent basis.
The DPRK is a country which thoroughly guarantees genuine freedom and rights of the people.
The U.S. should revoke unreasonable resolutions it cooked up by taking issue with “human rights performance” in the DPRK.
It should immediately withdraw the re-listing of the DPRK as a “state sponsor of terrorism” and lift the brutal sanctions and economic blockade against it and accept the DPRK’s proposal for replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace accord and stop creating obstacles in the way of Korea’s reunification.
The statement stressed that the United Nations should stop following the U.S. blindly and respect the Korean people’s sovereignty and right to self-determination and fulfill its mission for the reunification of the Korean peninsula.
