Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) — A joint remembrance meeting of Nordic progressive political parties and friendly organizations was held on Dec. 16 to commemorate the 6th anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

On display on the front wall of its venue was a painting depicting President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il standing together.
There were also photos showing the revolutionary careers and exploits of the great leaders and books and photos introducing the achievements of the DPRK.
The participants in the meeting laid floral baskets and bouquets before the painting of the great leaders and paid tribute to them.
Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, and Juha Kieksi, international secretary of the Finnish Communists’ League, said that Kim Jong Il, who started the Songun revolutionary leadership with his visit to the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People’s Army on Aug. 25, 1960, met all sorts of challenges with his unique Songun politics, safeguarded the country’s sovereignty and laid a firm foundation for building a powerful socialist country.
They referred to the proud reality of the DPRK winning victory after victory in the showdown with the U.S. imperialists and performing world-startling miracles and innovations in all fields under the distinguished guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who is creditably carrying forward the idea and exploits of the great leaders.
A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
