Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) — Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address called upon the entire DPRK people to achieve fresh victory on all fronts of building a powerful socialist country this year.

The New Year address is inspiring all the DPRK servicepersons and civilians with the pride and self-esteem of being victors and the confidence and optimism.
Jon Kwang Jun, department director of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, told KCNA:
The New Year Address serves as a militant banner that all the servicepersons and civilians should hold aloft this year marking the 70th anniversary of the DPRK.
Last year, we had made a series of great achievements, displaying the powerful stamina of heroic Korea under the guidance of the Workers’ Party of Korea. In the period, we came to deeply cherish in our minds the absolute truth that the cause of building a socialist power and the final victory of Juche revolution would be surely brought about as long as we are led by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
We will strive to increase the power production, further consolidating the achievements made in the field of electric power last year.
We will also direct big efforts to developing new power sources, put power generation at the existing medium and small-sized power stations on a normal footing, scrupulously organize alternated production throughout the country and wage a vigorous struggle against the practices of wasting electric power.
Kim Hwang Ho, department director of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, said:
Upon receiving the New Year address, workers in the field of metallurgical industry are in high spirits.
Last year, many metallurgical industrial establishments have made great achievements in putting their production processes on a Juche and modern basis with the spirit of self-reliance and self-development.
This year, we will continue to push forward the project for putting metallurgical industry on a Juche and modern basis and definitely boost the production of iron and steel.
