Iron and Steel Production Increases in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) — The field of metallurgical industry of the DPRK is increasing the iron and steel production to meet the need for iron and steel of national economy in the drive to implement the tasks set forth by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address.

The workers of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex increased the production of Juche iron two times on the New Year’s Day. They opened a prospect to carry out the production plan of January ahead of schedule by shortening melting hours with collective innovation and increasing molten iron output per charge.
The Jaeryong and Unryul mines, leading iron ore producers of the country, are overfulfilling their daily plans.
After successfully conducting the blasting of 450,000 cubic meters of earth on January 5, the Musan Mining Complex operates large-size excavators and rotary drills at full capacity to carry a lot of iron ore at cutting faces with abundant deposits every day.
In the New Year, it has overfulfilled its daily production plan.
