Pyongyang, January 15 (KCNA) — Members of the April 15 Technical Innovation Shock Brigade at industrial establishments across the country have made tangible contributions to strengthening the independence and Juche character of the national economy and increasing production through the application of at least 34,000 technical innovation proposals over the last one year.
They established Juche-oriented production lines and dynamically conducted a mass technical innovation movement.
Those of the East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant contributed to putting the operation of equipment on normal track and shortening the time of repair.
Officials and members of the shock brigade at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex set up an oxygen-blast furnace of Korean style to maintain the regular production of pig iron relying on anthracite.
Members of the shock brigade in the sector of coal industry introduced an efficient coal-cutting method and realized the comprehensive mechanization of pit work and diversified transport.
Those at the Kumsong Tractor Factory carried out the 80 h.p. tractor production task by making necessary jigs, molds and accessories with their own efforts and technology.
Those at the Pyongyang Trolley Bus Factory modernized tens of machines of scores of species, manufactured a lot of facilities and completed the assembly lines for trolley bus production on a high level.
Those in the light industrial sector positively helped reenergize the production with valuable scientific and technical achievements and those in agriculture contributed to raising the hot wind of scientific farming.
