Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) — The Chongjong Cooperative Farm in Chongdan County, South Hwanghae Province, the DPRK is pushing forward the drive to produce a large amount of nutritive liquid with peat, chicken droppings and rice-straw ash.
In recent years, the farm has increased the grain output per hectare by using this nutritive liquid.
According to Ra Sun Gil, chief engineer of the farm, the farm not only processed the seed with this nutritive liquid but also applied foliage dressing according to period and crops, proving effective.
Germination percentage increased more remarkably than before and paddy rice were produced 900 more kilograms per hectare, maize 1.2 more tons, bean 600 more kilograms and barley 3.7 more tons.
In comparison with humate production, the consumption of raw materials decreased, but actual yield rate increased.
Rice-straw ash was used instead of caustic soda.
The farm set a higher target to produce nutritive liquid and is meticulously organizing the work to carry it out.
