Release of Prisoners of Conscience and Uprooting of Evils Urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, January 23 (KCNA) — The Family Movement for Realizing Democracy in south Korea held the 1154th Thursday rally in Seoul on January 18, demanding the release of prisoners of conscience and the uprooting of the deep-seated evils, according to the south Korean internet paper Tongil News.

Speakers at the rally said that the authorities should probe the truth behind the suspicious case of “defection from the north” cooked up by the Intelligence Service and repatriate women citizens of the north and unconverted long-term prisoners.
They also demanded the “Security Law” be abrogated, the IS disbanded and traitor Lee Myung Bak arrested.
