Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) — Jesus De Los Angeles Aise Sotolongo, Cuban ambassador to the DPRK, hosted a reception on Thursday to mark the 59th anniversary of the victorious Cuban revolution.
Present there on invitation were Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, Vice Department Director of the C.C., Workers’ Party of Korea Ryu Myong Son, Vice-Chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries So Ho Won and officials concerned.
Members of the Cuban embassy were on hand.
Jesus De Los Angeles Aise Sotolongo noted in his speech that the Cuban people have dynamically advanced the socialist cause while smashing the U.S. heinous blockade and aggression moves over the past 59 years after they won the victory in the revolution under the guidance of Fidel Castro Ruz.
He expressed the will to consolidate the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries provided by the preceding leaders and being steadily carried forward by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and Comrade Raul Castro Ruz.
Ri Yong Ho said the victory in the Cuban revolution was a historic event that provided the Cuban people with rosy future and opened a road to build a new society.
He stressed that the Korean people would as ever stand by the Cuban people in the joint struggle for independence against imperialism and for the victory in the socialist cause, develop the good-neighborly, friendly and cooperative relations with countries advocating independence and strive for genuine international justice.
