Greetings to Sri Lankan President

Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) — Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Sunday sent a message of greeting to Maithripala Sirisena, president of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of its independence.

Kim in the message wished the Sri Lankan president success in his responsible work for the country’s socio-political stability and economic development, expressing the belief that the friendly and cooperative relations with a long tradition between the two countries would grow stronger in the common interests.
