Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) — The DPRK State Stamp Bureau issued new stamps (two sheets and one individual) with the approach of the 70th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army (KPA).
Seen in upper part of the stamps are letters “Celebration of Feb. 8, the 70th Anniversary. Juche 37(1948)-Juche 107(2018)”.
One of the sheets carries a photo of President Kim Il Sung standing on the tribune of honor at the military parade of the KPA on Feb. 8, Juche 37 (1948). Depicted in it are Mt Paektu, the holy mountain of revolution symbolic of the glorious tradition of the KPA, the flag of the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerilla Army and the colors of the KPA.
Printed in the lower part of the sheet with the Korean painting “In the days of army building” showing the exploits of Kim Il Sung who set forth the army building line as one of the three tasks for building a new country after the liberation of Korea and led the struggle for its realisation are the text and musical note of “Song of the Korean People’s Army”.
The individual stamp deals with soldiers of the KPA intensely loyal to the Workers’ Party of Korea.
