70th Birthday of KPA Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) — Celebrations and seminars were held in Russia, Uganda and DR Congo on Jan. 21 and 25 ahead of the 70th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army (KPA).

Vadim Kudimin, chief of the Russian Institute for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, said that Feb. 8 is the 70th anniversary of the KPA founded by President Kim Il Sung, praising him for building the army.
Mayambala Lawrence, chairman of the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, and other speakers said that the KPA is firmly guaranteeing the country’s sovereignty and rosy future of its people and the Juche idea followers of Uganda extended warm congratulations to the Korean people on the 70th founding anniversary of the KPA.
Andre Lohekele Kalonda, chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo, stressed that the founding of the KPA enabled the Korean people to beat back the armed invasion by the U.S. imperialists, win a historic victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and dynamically push forward the building of a powerful socialist country despite all challenges of hostile forces.
