Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) — A high-level delegation of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea led by Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly, left here on Friday to attend the opening ceremony of the 23rd Winter Olympics.
The delegation is composed of Kim Yo Jong, first vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Choe Hwi, chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, Ri Son Gwon, chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country, and other suite members.
A guard of honor of the services of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the depot in front of the airport terminal.
Kim Yong Nam reviewed the guard of honor of the KPA services after receiving a salute from its first deputy chief.
“Chammae-2”, a personal jet of the government flying corps carrying the delegation, took off at Pyongyang International Airport around 12:30.
