Music and Dance Performance Given to Celebrate KPA Birthday

Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) — The State Merited Chorus, the Moranbong Band and the Wangjaesan Art Troup gave a music and dance performance here on Thursday in celebration of the 70th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army.

Among the audience were teachers and students of military academies at all levels, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School, persons of merits in army-assisting, labor innovators and other working people, youth and students in Pyongyang.
The performers impressively represented the proud 70-year-long history of the Korean revolutionary armed forces.
The performers sang high praises of the army-building exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who founded the KPA, the revolutionary regular armed forces of Juche type, and strengthened it into an invincible revolutionary army, thus providing sure military guarantee for prosperity of socialist Korea.
