Rally in Tokyo Denounces U.S. War Drill against DPRK

Tokyo, February 8 (KNS-KCNA) — The Japan Regional Committee of the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration held a rally denouncing the U.S. moves for a nuclear war against the DPRK in Tokyo on Feb. 7.

Chairman Son Hyong Gun and other speakers at the rally slammed the U.S. and its follower Japan for hampering the efforts for improving the north-south ties.
The Trump regime is trying to carry out large-scale DPRK-targeted war drill after the end of the Winter Olympics, they said, branding this as an intolerable act aimed to stem the trend for peace and reunification and strain the situation on the Korean peninsula.
They urged the U.S. to stop the war drill and hold dialogue with the DPRK.
If they carry out the war drills defying strong rejection and protest by the international community, they will face large-scale anti-U.S. actions, the speakers warned.
At the end of the rally, the participants headed toward the U.S. embassy in Tokyo to thrust a protest letter demanding a stop to the war drills.
They read out the protest letter demanding the stop to the war drills and urging the U.S. to opt for concluding a peace agreement with the DPRK.
