Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) — Premier Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, made a field survey of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and the East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant.
Going round various parts of the complex, he encouraged workers there in a vigorous drive to put the production on a normal footing.
The field consultative meeting discussed the issue of further perfecting the Juche iron and steel-making technology and drastically increasing the iron production and underscored the need for relevant units to satisfactorily supply raw and other materials for the normal production.
At the power plant, the premier called for stepping up the scientific researches into increasing the electricity production and for keeping production going through meticulous equipment and technical management.
