Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) — Greening has been pushed forward in the Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist area now under construction.
Up to now, more than 40,000 trees were transplanted and over 300,000 square meters of lawn created there.
And radical preparations have been made to start planting turf and trees soon after the completion of individual construction projects.
The construction headquarters pushes forward the greening project to be peculiar to the tourist area, while calling for planting more trees of good species and increasing the proportion of “golden” turf in creating lawns.
Meanwhile, tree nurseries in Pyongyang and other parts of the country are striving to supply trees and flower shrubs of good species to the area.
And due measures have been taken to spray nutrient solution over transplanted trees and mow lawn for raising their rooting rate in hot weather.
