Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) — Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, Saturday sent a message of greeting to the 31st assembly of heads of state and government of the African Union to be held in Mauritania.
The message said that the initiative and efforts of the AU to achieve changes in Africa against corruption and irregularities and realize the peace, stability and political and economic integrity of the continent by its own efforts command full sympathy of the Korean people and the world progressive people.
Expressing belief that the joint stand and struggle of the African countries to fully exercise their sovereignty and influence on the international arena would bring about good successes, the message extended firm support and solidarity to it.
Reaffirming the invariable will of the DPRK to more vigorously boost the historic relations of friendship and cooperation with the AU and its member states in all fields, the message wished that the assembly would become a significant occasion in bringing about a decisive turn in achieving continental changes and prosperity.
