Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) — A Korean book, photo and fine art exhibition opened at a folk museum in Artyom City, Maritime Territory, Russia on June 15 on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il’s start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
The mayor of the Artyom City Administration said that he is very pleased that the Korean exhibition took place on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of Kim Jong Il’s start of work at the C.C., the Workers’ Party of Korea.
He noted that he thinks that the exhibition is of important significance in helping the citizens know better about the DPRK and will make a positive contribution to the development of the cultural cooperation between the two countries.
He expressed the will to make a proactive contribution to the development of the Russia-DPRK relations by strengthening cooperation in various fields in the future.
The president of the Vladivostok City Assembly said he admires the artistic skill of the Korean people and that the Korean nation is, indeed, a talented one and that he would make positive efforts to further consolidate the Russia-DPRK friendly ties in the interests of the two peoples.
The exhibition will continue till early in July.
