Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) — A gathering took place at the Chollima Hall of Culture Tuesday to mark the month of solidarity with the Cuban people.
Present there were So Ho Won, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba, officials concerned, working people in Pyongyang, Jesus De Los Angeles Aise Sotolongo, Cuban ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy staff members.
Speeches were made there.
So Ho Won said the Cuban revolutionaries launched an assault on Moncada Barracks under the leadership of Fidel Castro Ruz and, with the first gun report as an occasion, the struggle of the Cuban people developed into the all-people resistance to win a victory.
He noted that the friendly ties provided by the preceding leaders of the two countries are developing on good terms under the deep care of the respected Supreme Leader
Kim Jong Un and Comrades Raul Castro Ruz and Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez.
The Cuban ambassador said that the Party and people of the DPRK are extending firm solidarity to the Cuban people, stressing that the two countries should pool their efforts.
He pointed out that invariable is the principled stand of Cuba to build socialism no matter what happens in the world.
