Kim Il Sung Remembered by Russian Political Parties

Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) — Remembrance meetings were held by the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia and the Communist Party “Communists of Russia” on June 29 and July 2 on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

Sazhi Umalatova, chairwoman of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia, said that July 8 is the day marking the 24th anniversary of demise of Kim Il Sung, the eternal President of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
She noted that Kim Il Sung, who embarked on the road of revolutionary struggle in his early years, founded the Juche idea and thoroughly applied it to the revolution and construction.
She pointed out that the Juche idea serves as an immortal ideological and theoretical wealth for the Korean people and the world progressives.
She said that Kim Il Sung was the founder of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the DPRK and the Korean People’s Army and a peerless elder statesman who made great efforts for the development of socialism.
She noted that he devoted himself to the people, regarding believing in the people as in Heaven as his motto.
She added the past days prove that the line of socialism set forth by him is just and his cause invincible.
S. A. Malinkovich, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party “Communists of Russia”, and other speakers said that Kim Il Sung was an outstanding leader who made an immortal contribution to the accomplishment of the human cause of independence.
They noted that though he passed away, his idea and cause are being invariably carried forward and he is always alive in the hearts of mankind.
Meanwhile, a remembrance meeting was held by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union on June 30 to praise his noble revolutionary career and exploits.
