Disbandment of Defense Security Command Urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) — The April 16 Solidarity, the Joint People’s Action and other civic and public organizations in south Korea called a press conference in Seoul on Monday to demand the dissolution of the Defense Security Command, according to reports from south Korea.

The speakers expressed their anger at “wartime martial and coordinated action program” worked out by the Command in March last year, and denounced it as an evident military coup and internal rebellion.
They accused the Command of persisting in illegal acts such as building up the public opinion and keeping the bereaved families of the ferry Sewol disaster and citizens under surveillance.
They demanded a full revelation of data related to illegal acts by the Command.
